ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Governor Hochul’s opponent in the governor’s race, Congressman Lee Zeldin, is criticizing the governor’s COVID-19 policies.

Zeldin specifically accuses her of withholding the results of the state’s investigation into COVID practices until after the election in November.

He also came after the governor’s silence on state nursing home policies that resulted in the deaths of patients.

Zeldin said:

"Instead of swift answers, she’s dragging her feet just long enough so that the initial findings don’t come out until after the November election. The voters of New York have an opportunity on November 8 to shut down the corrupt Hochul-Cuomo machine once and for all."
