Consumer Alert: Mediterranean hummus recalled for containing pine nuts without label

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— We have a Consumer Alert for you, so check your hummus.

Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods says a batch of its organic Mediterranean hummus in 10-ounce packaging may contain pine nuts, which is not listed on the label.

People who have allergies to tree nuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions. The product was distributed to 23 states, including New York, and carries a sell-by date of Dec.12.
