Convicted sex offender accused of stabbing man to death indicted on murder charge

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A grand jury indicted the convicted sex offender accused of stabbing a man to death on Resolute Circle, which is near the Rochester-Irondequoit border.

Evan Guzman, 36, was indicted on a second-degree murder charge in connection to the incident.

It happened on July 5.

Police say Guzman knocked on 52-year-old Ted Morris, Sr.’s apartment door, and Morris opened it, Guzman stabbed him multiple times before running off.

Guzman is a Level 2 sex offender for a crime involving a child under the age of 13 and has three prior felony convictions, as well as three prior misdemeanor convictions.
