PENFIELD, N.Y. (WHEC) — A man is dead after a crash between a vehicle and a person on Creek Street at Yorktown Drive Tuesday night.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said Brett Anderson, 57, of Penfield, was walking on the shoulder of the road when it happened at around 5:15 p.m. He was taken to Rochester General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies say the driver of the vehicle, a 53-year-old Penfield man, was given a ticket for a traffic infraction, though deputies did not specify what it was.

Though, deputies say the investigation is still underway. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.

Creek Street has reopened after being closed for just under four hours.
