Deputies: Stanley man suffered multiple injuries in a one-car crash in the town of Seneca

A Stanley man suffered a broken pelvis and multiple broken bones in his back after his car crashed in the Ontario County town of Seneca. It happened just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Deputies say a car driven by Caleb Roat, 21, left Route 14A at a high rate of speed, crossed over the lanes, and hit an embankment. The vehicle then flipped several times into a wooded area before coming to rest in a gully. Roat is being treated for his injuries at Strong Memorial Hospital. His passenger, 19-year-old Haven VanHousen of Geneva was checked out at the hospital and released. Deputies ticketed Roat for Speeding, Reckless Driving, Failure to Keep Right and Unlicensed Operator.
