Deputies: Wayne County man facing DWI charges after crash into apple orchard with children in the car

SODUS, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Wayne County man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he drove drunk and crashed his car with kids in the back last week.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says Bradley Doyle, 34, of Clyde was speeding on Lake Road in the Town of Sodus Saturday night when he lost control, went off the road, and struck a fire hydrant before going through and stopping in an apple orchard. The crash damaged several apple trees.

Deputies say the weather conditions played a role in Doyle losing control of the car. Three children, all under the age of 13 were in the back seat. Nobody was hurt.

WCSO says Bradley refused to submit a breath test, and was arrested for series of charges including DWI under Leandra’s Law, refusal to submit a breath test, failure to have an interlock device inside the vehicle, speeding, among other offenses.

Bradley was taken to the Wayne County Jail.
