ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Easter celebrations are pulling Rochester communities together.

The iconic People’s Choice Kitchen held its own Easter party at Faith Temple of the Living God on Lincoln Avenue Saturday afternoon.

The Easter giveaway offered prizes like a Nintendo console, bikes, Easter bags, candy—and also a chance to pose with the Easter bunny.

Evangela Stanley, an event organizer, said "It’s just about giving back. This is what I do normally on a monthly basis just to find creative ways to give back to try and bring some joy to parents and kids to make them smile. It’s been rough. Two years of COVID and still going on so it’s all about putting smiles on kids’ faces."

The party also featured some much bigger animals than the Easter bunny. Both the Rochester Police Department mounted patrol and the Rochester Fire Department were in attendance.
