Final weekend for early voting in Monroe County
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Early voting for the June 28 primary election will end on June 26.
The June primary includes the race for governor, lieutenant governor, state assembly, and judges.
Starting this year, if an absentee ballot is applied for, a voter can no longer change their mind and decide to vote on the machine. If a voter would like to go to a polling location during early voting or their specific site on Election Day they will only be allowed to vote by Affidavit.
In Monroe County, nearly 600 people voted in the primary, and more than 1,700 votes have been cast since early voting began on Saturday.
If any problems occur during early voting, there is a number to call for help. The election protection hotline is available to troubleshoot and resolve all sorts of issues one might encounter at a polling place. The number is (866)-390-2992. You can also submit complaints online or send an email to election.hotline@ag.ny.gov
Eligible Monroe County voters enrolled in the Republican or Democrat party can visit any of the 14 early voting locations.
