ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – A cold front passing through this evening will come through dry, aside from the slightest chance of a passing shower. Clouds will then clear tonight as high pressure settles in. This will set the stage for a perfect weekend with plenty of sun on both Saturday and Sunday, and comfortable air. Daytime highs on Saturday should hold in the lower half of the 70s, and climb to near 80 by Sunday. Overnight lows fall into the 50s with lower humidity.

We’ll warm things up close to 90 with dry weather to start next week. We’ll finally get some relief from the dry weather on Tuesday as a wave of low pressure should bring scattered showers and some thunderstorms. Rain chances will go down a bit by Wednesday, then we’ll see another stretch of dry weather for the rest of next week and into the weekend.

With a quiet weather pattern persisting, we’ll remain green on the First Alert Threat Tracker. While Tuesday should see some thunderstorms, we don’t expect strong or severe storms at this point, but we’ll keep an eye on that day.
