ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Our cold front is long gone, and we’ll enjoy spectacular weather for the remainder of this July 4th weekend. A weak secondary front moving in tonight may bring a few hours of clouds overnight, but should be gone by Sunday morning. That’ll set the stage for a picture-perfect, and perfectly comfortable Sunday with low humidity, an abundance of sunshine and highs in the upper 70s to near 80.

The 4th of July on Monday looks great, with a few more clouds ahead of our next system, but any rain should hold off until closer to Tuesday morning. So, the timing is perfect for plans outside this weekend, whether it is boating on Lake Ontario, barbecuing in your backyard, or watching fireworks displays. Overnight lows Saturday and Sunday night will drop into the mid and upper 50s, so you can go ahead and shut off the air conditioning and open up the windows for some fresh air!

Some showers and storms will return on Tuesday, but at this point, instability, and our severe threat doesn’t look too impressive. We’ll remain green on the Threat Tracker, but as with any storms, Tuesday may need to be monitored for any changes in the intensity of storms. We should see quiet and seasonable weather for most of the rest of next week.
