ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Temperatures made it into the mid-70s for everybody away from Lake Ontario on Tuesday under nearly full sunshine and low humidity.

This weather will continue pretty much through the end of the workweek, with air temperatures climbing a little bit each day. This should put us near 80 degrees by Thursday, and into the 80s by Friday. Saturday will likely come close to 80 once again. The main difference you’ll feel by the end of the week and into the weekend is the increase in humidity. Dew points have been extremely dry, keeping our warmer air very comfortable. Dew points will climb into the 60s by Saturday and Sunday, giving us more of a summery feel to the air.

The increased moisture in the air will also lead to the possibility of a few showers or thundershowers returning to Western New York by the weekend. Rain chances on Saturday should still remain fairly low, with the best chance of some wet weather during the afternoon with isolated showers. Sunday should feature a better chance for some showers or thunder ahead of a cold front.

Monday will likely bring the best chance of some wet weather as our cold front passes through. This will also knock our temperatures from the 70s and 80s, back into the 60s for highs for much of next week.
