ROCHESTER, N.Y (WHEC) – Some sunshine to start your Friday before clouds win out this afternoon and evening as a weak cold front approaches the region.

There is a small chance for a sprinkle but most of us stay dry once again through tonight. Canadian high pressure builds in tonight into tomorrow. This will provide plenty of sunshine with cooler than normal weather this weekend.

One thing to take note of will be the northeast wind on Saturday. That breeze will bring some rough waters to Lake Ontario, so boating and swimming will be impacted tomorrow with nicer conditions returning Sunday. More sunshine and dry weather to end the weekend.

Some heat and humidity return early next week with our next decent chance for rain arriving on Tuesday. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest on the frontal passage this evening and the boating forecast for tomorrow.
