ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – We are waking up to another wonderful morning! Temperatures have started off in the 40s this morning, and will make their way into the mid and low 70s this afternoon.

We will remain comfortable, but clouds will increase through the day. The increase in cloud cover is thanks to a warm front that will begin to lift to our north. This will also give us a slight chance for a light shower later this evening, but most of us will be on the dry side.

This warm front will lift north for Monday. Dew points will begin to rise near 60 by the evening hours, and an isolated shower or storm will be possible late. Other than that, tomorrow will be a pleasant day with highs near 80 and partly cloudy skies likely.

A better chance for rain will come Tuesday as a cold front rolls through. This cold front will bring us widespread showers through the day, but also drop the dew points and temperatures after it swings through. Rainfall Tuesday may be heavy at times, and may have a few rumbles of thunder but no significant weather is expected.

After this front passes, we will likely remain on the unsettled side through the remainder of the week. The upper level low that will keep us on the cooler side will also keep us on the unsettled side into next weekend. A series of waves of low pressure will move through the region through the remainder of the week and keep rain chances in the forecast. As of now, no big washouts are on the way but we will need to keep the umbrellas and raincoats handy as showers are in the forecast through the majority of the week.
