ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A low-pressure system with an associated warm front will pass across Western New York later tonight into early Thursday.

The combination of these two weather elements will increase the humidity overnight and, as a result, increase the chance of a passing shower or thundershower. Then a cold front will be approaching Rochester later Thursday. This will bring a return to more comfortable weather again for Friday. The News 10NBC First Alert Threat level is green as no severe weather is expected. However, we do need the rainfall as July now makes five months in a row with below-normal precipitation according to the data from the Rochester Airport.

Tonight, look for the chance of a passing shower or thundershower. The humidity will be increasing overnight with the low temperature in the upper 60s. Thursday we have the chance of another shower or thundershower around midday. Otherwise, look for partial sunshine with a high temperature in the middle 80s. Then it will turn breezy with the humidity will be falling later in the afternoon.

Friday expect mostly sunny skies with just an isolated shower possible. It will be a more comfortable day with the high temperature within a few degrees of 80. The last weekend of July continues to look pretty good for any outdoor activities. You can expect mostly sunny skies of both days and the temperature in the low to middle 80s.
