First Alert Weather: A fall feel for Friday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Cool air drawn in from the north will give us an autumnal look and feel to the end of the week. Lake clouds and a few brief showers will pass overhead Thursday night into Friday morning. Temperatures Friday morning will fall into the lower 50s for most. So, it’ll be another fresh and cool night away from Lake Ontario.

While Friday will start with a good deal of low clouds and a shower or two, we’ll clear things out nicely as high pressure builds in. This means more sunshine Friday afternoon and temperatures once again hovering near 70.

Labor Day Weekend: The holiday weekend starts nicely, with a good deal of sun and dry weather Saturday. Temperatures Saturday make their way back into the mid and upper 70s thanks to a southerly wind. Sunday and Monday still will feature some showers at times, but neither day will be a washout. Temperatures hold in the mid-70s.

Tuesday should be mainly dry, with a strong cold front plowing through on Wednesday. This will bring a better chance for some area-wide showers, maybe some thunder on Wednesday, followed by temperatures dropping back into the 60s for highs on Thursday.

Overall, no big rain or severe weather is in our foreseeable future.
