First Alert Weather: Cool Monday but a big warm-up headed our way

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — More typical fall weather is ahead for our Monday as we will see mostly cloudy skies, a few lake effect rain showers, and a cool breeze.

Temps today in the low 50s. With some clearing tonight we will have a chill in the air for Tuesday morning as temps will drop to around 40 degrees away from the lakes with a little valley fog. A noticeably warmer air mass will start to arrive Tuesday afternoon with temps getting back into the mid-60s and we should see afternoon highs near 70 on Wednesday. A cold front will arrive on Thursday with some rain and possible thunder. This front does not appear to be as strong as the one on Friday but we will continue to monitor. Behind the front temps fall a bit Friday and then another front with even cooler air arrives for the weekend with breezy and showery weather on the way Saturday and Sunday with temps in the 40s and 50s.

Stay tuned for updates on the timing of the fronts and the quickly changing temps ahead for this week on News10NBC.
