ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Muggy weather is in store on Thursday with isolated showers well west of Rochester. A more organized line of showers and thundery downpours will arrive later in the morning through midday and exit early in the afternoon.

Grab the umbrella before heading out and keep an eye on the sky for thunder. Following that, rain and a drier breeze will develop Thursday afternoon with the lowering dewpoints and slightly less humid weather.

Most of the afternoon and evening will be pleasant but we need to watch for an additional pop-up thunderstorm around 5 or 6pm. After that, we are good to go for Thursday night into Friday with just a slight shower threat on Friday.

Then, beautiful weather is expected for the weekend. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest on any developing storms later this morning.
