First Alert Weather: Up and down temperatures expected

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The holiday weekend came to an end with some very nice weather. The late summer season can produce some of the best conditions across Western New York because of the comfortable temperatures and lower humidity.

This Labor Day evening will bring mainly clear skies as the temperature falls through the 60s into the mid-50s overnight.

Tomorrow it is back to work and school for some in our community and Tuesday promises to be a lovely day. Look for more sunshine with the temperature nearing 80° and still lower amounts of humidity. A cold front will be approaching Tuesday night and Wednesday, and with the passage of the front, we will expect more clouds and a better chance of a few showers and thundershowers. As this cold front passes, the humidity will fall with the temperature in the mid to upper 70s.

The News10NBC First Alert weather team expects a little hint of fall in the air by Thursday and Friday. We cannot rule out an isolated shower on Thursday with partial sunshine expected. It appears most of Thursday will be in the 60s with the high temperature only near 71°. Friday will bring more sunshine with the temperature moderating into the low to mid-70s.
