Flags throughout Monroe County at half-staff in honor of Gary Beikirch

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe County continues to honor the life of Gary Beikirch, an American war hero who passed away on Dec. 26.

Beikirch, a Greece native, was a Medal of Honor recipient who fought in the Vietnam War.

In honor of his tremendous life of service, flags at Monroe County facilities have been lowered to half-staff.
