BERGEN, N.Y. (WHEC) — General Electric cut the ribbon on a major regional investment in our area Thursday.

The company opened up a new research facility in Bergen, Genesee County.

A team of 20 employees are using a three-story tall 3D printer to help reduce the cost and improve the performance of wind farms.

The research being done at the Bergen facility is supported in part by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy.
