Giraffe calf galloping despite an injured leg
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The newest addition to the Seneca Park Zoo is already galloping around despite having an injured leg.
The Masai giraffe calf born earlier this week received veterinary care for a leg tendon issue and umbilical hernia on Wednesday.
Monroe County Executive Adam Bello Tweeted that the little guy is in good spirits and being monitored closely.
Look at him go! Our newest addition to the @SenecaParkZoo is already running around and in good spirits even while wearing a leg splint. Our veterinarian team will continue to watch the Masai giraffe calf closely 24/7 to ensure he is nice and healthy. pic.twitter.com/bfJciQqaux
