Gunshot fired into house on Lasalle Street with children inside
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — At least one bullet struck a residence and landed in the living room of a house on LaSalle Street Sunday evening, police say.
At approximately 8:15 p.m., Rochester Police responded to Lasalle Street between Child Street and Whitney Street for report of a house struck by gunfire.
According to police, at least one bullet struck the exterior wall of the house with the bullet coming to rest the living room.
At that time, the living room had five people inside including three children ages 7, 12 and 15.
The bullet passed through the wall inches away from the 12-year-old’s face, witnesses said.
Police confirm no one was struck and there were no injuries reported.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to please call 911.
