Gunshots were fired near Rochester police officers on the city’s north side

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Gunshots were fired near Rochester police officers on the city’s north side. News10NBC is told it happened around 9:00 p.m. on Farbridge Street, a one-block-long street that runs west from Joseph Avenue to Remington Street.

Officers were on Farbridge Street investigating an earlier report of multiple shots fired in which they found evidence indicating that had happened. No one was struck by bullets.

That’s when police say the shots were fired near them. It is not known who the intended target was. No officers were hurt.

Police say they also have evidence to indicate that additional rounds were fired on Bismark Terrace around the corner from Farbridge a short time later.

Officers were canvassing the neighborhood for any witnesses as of late Sunday night.
