Irondequoit man accused of stealing more than $38K from Avon employer
AVON, N.Y. (WHEC) — A former employee of an Avon business is accused of stealing more than $38,000 from it.
The business owner called the police on Samuel Cotton, 28, of Irondequoit, back on Aug. 3, but it wasn’t until Sept. 9 that Cotton was arrested.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said Cotton was employed by the business on Lakeville Road between April and June of 2020 and his former employer believes he stole the money during that period.
He was charged with third degree felony grand larceny and released with an appearance ticket.
