Isaiah McKenzie wants to prove doubters wrong like usual

ORCHARD PARK, NY (WHEC) – Three things in this life are certain: death, taxes, and annual questions of whether or not Isaiah McKenzie should be a part of the Buffalo Bills going forward.

Answers to that questions seem to be coming to a bit more of a consensus.

The sixth-year pro out of Georgia seems to be in good position to take over the slot-receiving role once held by Cole Beasley. But there still remain some doubters to which McKenzie is always ready to respond.

"I look at the noise but I don’t listen to it," said McKenzie.

That noise can be tiring, especially when it’s tied to a team with the spotlight on them as the top betting-favorite to win the 2022 Super Bowl.

This year, even more pressure is on Josh Allen’s receivers to step up. Gabriel Davis did just that at the tail end of last season, but with Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders both parting ways from Buffalo, someone like McKenzie will need to give Allen a speedy threat in the offense.

"I just never stop going," said McKenzie. "Whether it’s on the field or off the field I do what I do and I may let some people know along the way and if they don’t believe me, then oh well."

McKenzie’s role within the Bills offense to start the season will certainly be a key thing to keep an eye on as training camp approaches.
