ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – The Puerto Rican festival is back in Rochester this weekend. It kicked off with a parade Saturday morning from City Hall.

Just like all the others, the Puerto Rican festival took a few years off because of the pandemic, so people were excited to have it back this summer.

"Rochester has a long and proud history of welcoming families from across the world. We call our great home one of the places of cultural diversity and it remains an important part of our identity. So every year across this city, communities come to life with a celebration of their cultural heritage and to build a stronger community for all of us, a closer community,” said Rep. Joe Morelle.
