Local organization, police chiefs team up to boost recruitment efforts

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— There’s a new partnership between a local organization and law enforcement leaders, as Police Career Exam Prep has teamed up with the Monroe County Chief’s Association to try and extend their outreach.

PCEP is a group that says its mission is to help find diverse local candidates for law enforcement agencies in our area.

The organization’s founder, Justin Collins says the MCCA will assist with sponsoring, which includes some funding, and other services.

"[They’ll do] mock backgrounds, helping with community outreach. including us in events that they’re doing in their communities," Collins said.

The group has helped dozens of people get jobs in law enforcement and public safety over the past five years. For more information on the organization, click here,
