Lynyrd Skynyrd CMAC show canceled due to COVID illness with band

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC)— The sounds of "Free Bird" won’t be playing at the Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC) in Canandaigua Thursday night.

The venue Tuesday announced due to "unforeseen circumstances" and a COVID illness within Lynyrd Skynyrd, the band will not be able to perform.

The show was officially canceled and the band says it will not be rescheduled.

If you bought your tickets through Ticketmaster, you should be refunded immediately. If you bought your tickets in person at the box office, you will have to stop by the venue to get refunded.

  • Aug.17: 1-4 p.m.
  • Aug.19: 11 a.m.- 3 p.m.
  • Aug. 20: 12- 3 p.m.
  • Aug.21: 11 a.m.- 3 p.m.
  • Aug. 23: 12- 3 p.m.
  • Aug. 24: 11 a.m.- 3 p.m.
