Mama bear and her cubs snack in Yates County back yard

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Another bear sighting! This time in Yates County.
You can imagine our viewer’s surprise when she looked out the window and saw this mama bear and her three cubs snacking from the bird feeder in the back yard.
It isn’t uncommon for bears to come out in our area this time of year, there was another sighting just yesterday Livingston County. The DEC recommends removing bird feeders and keeping garbage cans sealed or inside a garage or shed.
