Man accused of firing shots at deputies in Carrabba’s indicted on more serious charge

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – The man accused of opening fire in a Carrabba’s restaurant in Henrietta has been indicted on Attempted Aggravated Murder of a Police Officer.

A Monroe County Grand Jury returned that charge against 33-year-old Alonzo Jones. He had previously been charged with Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

Jones is accused of shooting at deputies in the Henrietta restaurant on June 2, narrowly missing a deputy’s head. Deputies returned fire. No one was hit and Jones was taken into custody.
