Man attempting to cross road killed after being hit by car in Geneva
GENEVA, NY (WHEC) — A man attempting to cross Routes 5 & 20 was fatally struck by a car in Geneva Sunday evening.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 5:23 p.m. first responders responded to a fatal motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
Authorities learned that Terrance J. Klem, 59, was crossing at a place other than a crosswalk when he was fatally struck.
The driver was traveling westbound on Routes 5 & 20 when he hit Klem.
Deputies say the driver stayed at the scene and called 911.

According to law enforcement, State Route 5 & 20 was shut down from Lenox Road to County Road 6 for approximately three hours.
The crash investigation is still pending at this time.
