Man indicted on vehicular manslaughter, DWI charges for deadly crash

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The man accused of hitting and killing a woman last month was indicted by a grand jury on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
Court paperwork revealed during his arraignment on Dec. 21 that Lonnie Gandues, 51, was previously convicted in July 2019 after pleading guilty to a charge of driving while ability impaired by the consumption of alcohol.
Police say he hit 27-year-old Khadijah Stanley while she was walking the sidewalk near Hudson Avenue and Wilkins Street on Dec. 20.
