Man pleads guilty to deadly stabbing with butcher’s knife

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A man pleaded guilty to the deadly stabbing of a 33-year-old with an 8-inch butcher knife in June of 2021.

Amos Hill pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the first degree, which carries a 5-18 year prison sentence, for the killing of Michael Adams.

The early morning stabbing happened on Genesee Street near Elmdorf Avenue. Witnesses said Adams was stabbed in the neck during an argument at a Father’s Day gathering. Emergency Medical Services tried to revive Adams but he died at the scene.

Hill’s sentencing will be on July 13.
