Man pleads guilty to manslaughter in June 2020 shooting on North Clinton Avenue
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A man Friday pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter in a deadly shooting on North Clinton Avenue that happened back on June 14, 2020.
The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office said Eddie Williams, 28, will serve 20 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision.
The DA’s Office said the shooting started with an argument between Williams and the victim, 35-year-old Trenton Cook, outside of Williams’s apartment building.
After the argument, the DA’s Office says Williams went back into his apartment, got his shotgun, and shot Cook, killing him.
Williams was arrested soon after the shooting.
