Man saved from burning car in town of Sweden

SWEDEN, N.Y. (WHEC) – First responders were able to free a driver from a burning car in the town of Sweden Wednesday morning.

The sheriff’s office says the car had hit a tree and caught fire around 11:30 a.m. on Salmon Creek Road.

Deputies worked with Ogden Police, Brockport Fire Department, and other first responders to free the man.

He was then brought to Strong Hospital to be treated.

Law enforcement is still investigating how the crash happened.
