Man seriously injured in Yates County crash

JERUSALEM, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Penn Yan man was seriously injured after the Yates County Sheriff’s Office says his vehicle left the road and he crashed into a tree on Monday morning in the Town of Jerusalem.
It happened at around 7:45 a.m. on State Route 54A and East Valley Road.
The 59-year-old driver had to be cut out of his vehicle by members of the Branchport Fire Department. Then, he was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight.
Deputies say no charges have been filed, but the investigation is still ongoing.
