Man stabbed Friday night on Copeland Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police said a man was stabbed Friday night on Copeland Street, near Hempel Street.

Rochester Police responded to the area of Sixth Street and Hempel Street where a 30-year-old male reported that he had been stabbed while at the 100 block of Copeland Street.

Police say the man became involved in a fight between two other people. Officers say at some point during the altercation, the man suffered a minor stab wound to his torso.

He was taken to Strong Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say one person was detained by officers, but there are no charges at this time.
