MAP: Several traffic lights still out due to power outage

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— It’s been two days since whipping winds knocked out power for tens of thousands of people in Monroe County, and as of Monday, there are still several thousand outages, including at some stoplights.

Monroe County Executive Adam Bello Tweeted out a few traffic light locations without lights, and we have those spots mapped and listed out below.

  • Vintage Lane at Fetzner Road
  • Goodman Street at Bay Street
  • Ridgeway Ave at Mt. Read Blv
  • Dewey Ave at Britton Road
  • Pixley Road at Hinchey Road

As a reminder, any traffic lights that aren’t working should be treated as an all-way stop.

As for the outages themselves, RG&E Sunday said it is adding additional field resources to assist in restoration efforts. The company expects to restore 95% of customers impacted by the wind by 11:30 p.m., Monday.
