Masks and proof of vaccination status: Where you’ll need them

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe County and all nine counties in the greater Rochester area meet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s threshold for "high" COVID-19 transmission.

The CDC recommends fully-vaccinated persons wear masks in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission areas. The metric the CDC uses to designate an area "substantial" is 50 to 100 cases per 100,000 or a positivity rate between 8% and 10%.
