Masks are now optional for RTS services
ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — RTS officials say that masks are now optional on buses and in facilities in Rochester, including the Transit Center. The announcement on Tuesday comes as a federal judge struck down a national mask mandate for public transportation.
RTS said it will continue to make masks available at RTS facilities and encourages all riders and employees to stay at home if they feel sick.
Uber services in Rochester will also no longer require masks, with the ride-sharing company lifting its mask mandate on Tuesday, reported NBC News.
