Mendon woman competes at Wimbledon

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — It was an exciting day for a local tennis player, despite the outcome.

Quinn Gleason took the court at Wimbledon Thursday playing in a doubles match.

Gleason grew up in Mendon and went to Notre Dame.

She was a second alternate for Wimbledon and got into the championship on Monday.

Gleason and her partner unfortunately lost in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
