Monroe County Public Defender accused of injuring 3 deputies arraigned
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Monroe County Public Defender who is accused of causing three Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies minor injuries during a scuffle back in November was arraigned Tuesday.
Catherine Ejimandu pleaded not guilty to obstructing the government, criminal contempt and harassment.
She’s been a public defender for five years.
According to court papers, Ejimandu was escorted out of the room after an argument with the judge on Nov. 5 when deputies say a fight broke out.
Deputies say Ejimandu put one of them in a headlock and kicked another.

She’s due back in court at the end of April.
