Monroe County sees 47 opioid ODs in March

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — There were 47 opioid overdoses in Monroe County during the month of March, eight of which were fatal.
In January, there were 58 overdoses, 15 of which were fatal, and in February, 61 people overdosed, 20 fatally.
That makes 166 total overdoses in the first three months of 2022.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said so far, this month’s numbers are lower, but nowhere near where they need to be.

In comparison, there were 58 total overdoses in January 2021, with 12 fatal, 36 total overdoses in February 2021 with 10 fatal and 57 total in March 2021 with 12 fatal.
