Monroe County sees deadliest February for overdoses in at least 5 years

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — There was an increase in opioid overdoses last month according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

It may have been the shortest month of the year, but there were 61 overdoses and 20 of them were fatal.

That’s up from January when there were 58 overdoses with 15 being fatal.

This was the deadliest February for overdoses in at least five years.
