Murder victim on Dewey Avenue identified
ROCHESTER, N.Y (WHEC) – Rochester Police have identified the victim who was murdered on Dewey Avenue on Friday as 37-year-old Eddie Blanding.
On Friday at about 11:30 p.m. officers were called to the downstairs apartment at 210 Dewey Ave, for a report of a man down inside the apartment with a pool of blood around him. Officers arrived and located Blanding, a Rochester resident who didn’t live in the apartment, deceased from at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. Although the apartment was not technically “vacant”, it doesn’t look like anyone was living there.
No suspects are in custody. Anyone with any information is asked to call 911.
