Names released for three victims of Buffalo house fire
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WGRZ/WHEC) — Dr. Jonathan Daniels and two of his two daughters have been identified as the people who died in the house fire in north Buffalo on Monday morning.
Firefighters were able to rescue the mother from the second floor of the house. Five firefighters were treated for various injuries but they’ve all been released.
Daniels served as associate director of admissions in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. The mother was taken to a Buffalo-area hospital for treatment.
Crews responded to the fire around 3:30 a.m. The cause is still under investigation and a dog also died in the fire.
