ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The state is cracking down on underage drinking at concerts this summer.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Monday investigators will be out starting this week, checking for fake IDs and the sale of alcohol to minors.
Operation Prevent enforcement sweeps will be conducted at concert venues throughout the state, locally at CMAC in Canandaigua and the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center.
Those who are under 21 and use a fake ID to buy alcohol can be ticketed, and their license can be revoked for a minimum of 90 days and up to one year.
