NY’s COVID school report card website down due to ‘updates’

A look at the current page[News10NBC]
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— If you haven’t been able to access New York State’s COVID school report card page, you’re not alone. The website is down, and has been down since last Monday.
News10NBC sent an email to the state for comment, and a Department of Health spokesperson told us the site is down as the DOH is updating the page to "simplify" the report process for schools.
To be clear, the DOH said only the public-facing page is down. The department said since last Monday, districts are still required to log in and submit a daily report between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on each operational day of the school year.
If you’re wondering why the #COVID19 School Report Card website hasn’t been updated since school started, we were too. @GovKathyHochul‘s office tells @news10nbc, it’s currently being updated to simplify reporting for schools and will be available by September 27 at the latest.

You may remember the site caused some confusion for some districts as there were discrepancies in the COVID data on the website. It is updated every 24 hours.
The spokesperson said the site should be back up and running by next Monday (Sep.27) at the latest.
