Ontario County Sheriff’s Office warning residents of scam
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents that if they received a text message about new OCSO merchandise, it’s a scam.
The sheriff’s office released a photo of what that text message looks like.
It offers you a coupon for $10 off an Ontario County Sheriff’s Office t-shirt.
The OCSO says it does not sell merchandise or solicit money, so if you get that text, don’t click the link.
Be sure to block the number, and delete the message.
