Oswego State President named interim SUNY Chancellor
ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) – Outgoing SUNY Oswego President Deborah Stanely has been named interim chancellor of the entire SUNY system.
The SUNY Board of Trustees made the appointment Monday. Stanley is stepping down from her role at SUNY Oswego after 25 years. She takes over the interim role on January 15th.
Stanley is replacing outgoing Chancellor Jim Malatras, who announced his resignation recently after inappropriate comments he made during the investigation of former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo surfaced.
The Board of Trustees is launching a "global" search for a permanent leader of the SUNY system.
